I wanted to share a bit of my story and why I decided to start a GoFundMe for The Detailed Diva.
The Detailed Diva began over 10 years ago as a personalization service, creating custom pieces for weddings and events. It was my way of turning creativity into something that made special days even more magical.
Then life shifted. I had my first baby, and right after, COVID hit—which took a huge toll on my small business. But I didn’t give up. I built my family again with a second baby, and just as I was getting back on my feet, a massive flood destroyed all my machines and inventory. I had to literally start from scratch.
I tried to reinvent myself by diving into fanmade merch, combining the shows and stories I love with pieces that spoke to other fans. It helped me keep going, but the brutal economy we’re in now has made it harder than ever to truly reach the potential I know this brand has.
It’s been a long struggle—always feeling like I’m almost there, but never quite making it to real success. Now, I’m ready to take the next big step: launching a clothing line that’s incredibly close to my heart.
This line isn’t just about fashion—it’s about creating pieces that I (and so many women like me) actually need. As a mom who doesn’t always feel comfortable in my own skin, I know how hard it is to find clothing that makes you feel confident and put-together when everything in retail seems to be designed for a different body or a different life.
I’m creating clothes that are comfortable, flattering, and made for real life—something that’s been missing for too long. I have a vision for the future of The Detailed Diva that I know I won’t be able to reach if I can’t get in front of the right audience.
